C. Cove Overley is the founder of Street Value Asia (formally Street Value Ltd) one of the leading and most trend-reflecting consumer electronic distributors in Asia. With offices in Hong Kong, Shen Zhen and Shanghai, China, Street Value has amassed over 10,000 partner store locations showcasing brands like Skullcandy and Marshall Amplification. Other consumer electronics brands founded by Cove include Xtra Brands and Themed Retail Worldwide, which were world-wide licensees of the Marshall Group in lifestyle and travel gear.
As a seasoned executive with over 30 years of sales, marketing, general management and product development experience, Cove previously served as Managing Director of Recreation Group PLC’s Asia office which developed the revered, Stylophone electronic stylus keyboard and the Wii joystick accessory, Wii Jog.
Cove Overley’s experience in the toy industry includes Manley-Toyquest, Playmates Toys, Toy Biz and Toy Max were he helped the launch of the globally successful Laser Challenge and Creepy Crawlers brands. He has also served as Chief Commerce Officer for KidZania theme parks and Chief Product Officer at Grin Studios (MJ Holding Company LLC) and Yowie World Global Brands.
Cove has graduated in 1996 as first in his department and top 1% of his class (Magna Cum Laude) from Fashion Institute of Technology, Toy Design Department with a Bachelors in Arts. He previously attended The Julliard School Production Department as a student-intern and Pratt Institute’s revered Industrial Design Department. He currently serves on several executive boards in Singapore and Bangkok and lives between Hong Kong and his home in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Cove is an MBA candidate at the Quantic School of Business & Technology which rates 54th globally for business technology and also carries certificates from MIT: Sloan School of Business, London School of Economics and Political Science and Cambridge: Judge School of Business.
