A handpowered indoor composting system designed for small-space living, allowing the user to better utilize a waste-free lifestyle if they don't have outdoor space. In the US the average person wastes 238lbs of food per year. Composting is a great way to mitigate that, however many people do not have access to an outdoor space to hold a compost container. Lotus provides an indoor composting solution that quickly turns organic material into fresh compost. Lotus works much like a salad spinner. Two lids allow the internal bucket to turn and stay sealed, while the outer bucket captures the waste.
