CREW Chair

CREW is an electric-powered wheelchair control system designed to be controlled by caregivers. The goal is to bring the benefits of powered wheelchairs to passengers who can’t control joysticks (elderly with deteriorating fine motor skills, people with Alzheimer’s, mental illnesses, or neuromuscular disorders). CREW is designed with the belief that passengers and caregivers are members of one expedition team. Their comfort, safety and joy are interdependent. Therefore, safety features of CREW aim to boost the team’s confidence and sense of control, encouraging the team to lead fuller lives
