NEXXA handle

Nexxa is a new concept in door handles designed by Zaha Hadid Design (ZHD) in collaboration with ironmonger izé. The aim was to create a handle that would form a single continuous line, even when turning. This is absolutely new for door handle design, and was an enormous challenge.

The solution was to create a handle made in two pieces that come together and merge at an elbow joint. ZHD carried out intensive research into how to make use of the break between the two parts as part of the story. The aim, and result, was to create a beautiful sculptural object that is also a working door handle
