Lamé

Lamè is a staircase with steps made of iron in a shape of bands bent at 90 degrees and alternately covered with wood inside and outside. The project is inspired by rhythmic gymnastic performance. In my project I transformed the sinuous and curvilinear shape of the ribbon to sharp and geometric figure. The staircase is designed to be firmly anchored to the ceiling, floor and side walls, based on the balance. Iron brightens up the colors and produces a lamé effect which refines the atmosphere. The wooden cladding gives elegance to the structure and covers the supporting elements of the staircase
