‘Landmark’, is the latest collection of taps (faucets) showers
and accessories resulting from the highly successful
collaboration between Sanders Design and Samuel Heath. This
trusted and dynamic collaboration, which spans more than 15
years, has culminated in a number of highly successful and
beautiful collections.

Shaped by the classic Bauhaus principles of simplicity and
elegance, Landmark ‘Industrial’ and Landmark ‘Pure’ bring
together design, craftsmanship, and technology. This new
collection in both its guises, remain faithful to the rational
functionalism redolent of the Bauhaus and are a modern
interpretation of the values and style of the designs it
pioneered.

Perfect function, beautiful form, and use of the very finest
materials and finishes make this collection a delight to the
senses and hold true to the values embedded in Samuel
Heath’s long manufacturing tradition, which dates back nearly
200 years. These core values of acute attention to detail and
the use of innovative processes are identified in each expertly
manufactured piece.

Whilst Landmark has overtones of the original Bauhaus
aesthetic, it does not attempt to be a faithful reproduction of
the products of the school or period, rather it utilises a design
language that evokes the ethos of the period in an authentic
manner. By size and proportion, it displays and celebrates
elements of its functionality achieved through a harmony of
materials, finishes and exquisite detailing.

Landmark’s inspiration is rooted in a period of design history
that spans little more than a decade, yet it’s influence was
global and continues to echo in time.  This diversity and
longevity has allowed Sanders and Samuel Heath to present
Landmark in two distinctive guises, both sympathetic to the
design origins of the period, yet highly disposed to being
selected and presented by architects and specifiers alike in a
range of exciting and diverse interior settings.
