Makoto is a cardiology imaging system that uses Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) to find and characterize unstable Lipid Core Plaque (LCP) – a key indicator of cardiac risk.

Cath labs are small, crowded spaces filled with technology. Based on observation and research, we added positionable displays to Makoto so doctors and technicians could see and talk to one another during complex procedures. We illuminated the connector panel for fast and accurate deployment. We created a narrow footprint so Makoto can be stored against a wall, within easy reach.
