AHĀ-NEK is a minimal, sustainable, innovative cloth hanger made to protect clothing pieces with necks and fixed collars. Consisting of two interlocking, wooden sticks, the hanger slides easily in and out any garment’s neck, without stretching it. The prototype was produced with leftover bamboo and the manufacturing was based on local timber, allowing the design to actively support an circular and eco-friendly way of making. Aesthetically similar to chopsticks, it does not only reproduce the shape, but also the logic; an elegant product, quick and easy to assemble with maximum efficiency.
Bio Minimuc is an internationally operating design studio based in Amsterdam, founded in 2014 by architect Ismini Christakopoulou. We work across the fields of architecture & design, creative direction, graphic/web design and brand identity. We strive for a refined design full of context. We value beauty, treasure efficiency, crave for experimentation, praise fantasies. We keep on making with an open mind and a curious attitude. With an eye for detail and a good sense of structure, we aim to create unique approaches, crafting personal, seducing spaces and ideas.
