Athleta is an activewear company that designs clothes for women by women. Owned by Gap Inc., Athleta has a list of sustainability goals and updates it to show current status. Although Athleta conveys sustainability information on their website, Akasha strives to bring awareness to the consumer, while working to close the loop. In the already existing Athleta app, new features have been added to support the consumer’s sustainability journey and become a more conscious consumer through clothing swaps, clothing recycling, Blockchain technology and purchase impact comparisons.
