OTTO lamp embodies the principle of freedom in light construction. The outcome of the project is a modular lamp able to build light freely in space with a self-supporting joint as the center of its design. The self-supporting nature of the lamp, given by the two elementary shapes of an “O” and a “T”, enables the transmission of low-voltage current from one module to another without the presence of any cables. It is thus possible to rotate the modules by 360 degrees offering endless possibilities for compositions.
Bio We are Filippo Magini and Vittorio Marini, two italian students pursuing design education in the field of Product Design. We graduated at ISIA Firenze University and we are determined to learn and seek insights from what the design journey has to deliver, developing and creating meaningful experiences.
