SnowStride is an assistive device that aids in the sport of Snowshoeing for people with weak legs, making this winter sport more accessible.
A wide snowshoe base on each leg attached to telescoping poles with drop-down ergonomic handles provides gait support by helping lift legs with each stride through the strength and motion of the arms.
This device also helps with lower leg rehabilitation therapy as the gait cycle is similar to rehab devices such as walking sticks and parallel bars, torsion spring tension can be adjusted to fine-tune the assistance level depending on leg strength.
