VacLab Soft Sculpture Project

The “VACLAB Soft Sculpture Project” draws inspiration from the compression principle of vacuum storage bags. By extracting air from the bag, negative pressure is created, causing the objects inside to compress and harden. This process imparts both plasticity and stability to the materials. We aim to reinterpret the relationship between people and "sculpture" through this simple scientific principle, creating a furniture series that conforms to body curves and allows for freely sculpted shapes, inviting users to co-create their furniture pieces.
