Ampere is a series of lights that offer insights and encouragement in personal health. Inundated by performance-based metrics, we easily find ourselves in the mindset of always having to be at our best. By translating wearable-based biometrics to the tangible form of light, Ampere encourages a perspective of play and caretaking in place of performance. Ampere uses light intensity and frequency to illustrate general biometric data captured by wearables. By using light, a medium that morphs easily, health patterns can be fluidly represented both visually and spatially.
