The material dictates design, so the main idea is to rethink a solid piece of clay (fireclay) into a liquid material (slip) and try to cast a vase from this mass in a plaster mold without violating the characteristics of the material. The shape of the vase was dictated by the search for geometry that would combine into a repeating element.
Looking at the material, you want to interact with it, touch and examine every pebble and every detail close up. The grainy texture that we see on the surface and the color of the material is initially given by the material.
