Art Deco Tea Cup

Designers strive to beautify the world and seek out challenges. A teacup’s clear function and standard shape appear to leave little room for exploration, therefore, it is often designed to blend in. To push the form of this object in a new artistic way I asked how form can follow style, which in this case is Art Deco. The consistent language unifies the parts and the elegant and geometric accents bring out a new interest in this day-to-day object. There is never a stopping point in the design and there is always a plethora of stylistic inspiration that opens doors for re-discovery.
