The Heritage Wall Mirror is made from solid European ash. The mirror's inside reveals 16 geometric facets, referencing its construction method, contrasted with a round exterior—held together by a wooden "belt." The frame reveals the handiwork of a dying craft in Switzerland—dating back to the 18th century. Each frame is individually carved with heritage Swiss patterns through this craft of "Schnitzerei" in Appenzell. The mirror's silhouette was initially inspired by deconstructing a classic Fahreimer (Alpine milking pail), stripping it back to its essence.

Seitz is a New York-based design studio—driven by the past, refined for today. Along with their lineage of Swiss makers, the studio seeks to revitalize art forms that are quickly fading away. The passion and care from their family of craftspeople instills the honesty that cannot be replicated in mass manufacturing. It’s this commitment that allows for the preservation and modern interpretation of functional and heirloom furniture—built to last.
