This design reuses redwood remnants. There are holes and cracks in the redwood that render the wood unusable, which generally regarded as defects. However, each hole has different patterns, which are aesthetically pleasing, represent the defective beauty of the wood.My concept was to obtain the morphological characteristics of the holes through 3D scanning, materialize them and make them into furniture. So the non-existent forms become part of the furniture, and the special texture of the hollows and cracks is shown, giving the viewer a different perspective on the beauty of nature.
